First Membership Event of the Season - October 1, 2009

Guests of Symphonix experienced an evening of hosted drinks and nibbles at Sloane, San Francisco’s newest upscale lounge and boutique nightclub, and explored the unique works of art on display at the adjoining Paige Glass art gallery. DJ HeyLo of 747 Records and DJ Duserock were featured.

the San Francisco Symphony and Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas launch a new season with an unforgettable Opening Night Gala. MTT welcomes 26 year-old piano virtuoso Lang Lang, who will dazzle audiences with the intricate and exciting Piano Concerto No. 3 by Sergei Prokofiev. Lang Lang has played sold-out concerts in every major city in the world and has been termed the "hottest artist on the classical music planet" by the New York Times. This evening marks the start of MTT’s 15th season with the San Francisco Symphony.

This Friday 6.5 Series concert features Michael Tilson Thomas's remarks before the complete works are performed. The music of Vienna through the work of two very different native sons. Schubert's lyrical Rosamunde Overture and his Unfinished Symphony are juxtaposed with Berg's Seven Early Songs.
The 2008/2009 Symphonix Trilogy Series ends on a high-note with a complimentary exclusive after-party at the Bambuddha Lounge sponsored by San Francisco Magazine. This is complimentary for Symphonix members and concert ticket holders; all others may pay $30 at the door. Bambuddha Lounge is located inside the Phoenix Hotel at 601 Eddy Street.
